Thriftly runs as a browser extension on top of Vinted. This page takes you from a fresh browser to your Wardrobe.
You need two accounts: a Vinted account and a Thriftly account. If you do not have a Thriftly account yet, create one at thriftly.tools before you start.
Install the extension
Thriftly ships to the Chrome Web Store, so it installs on Chrome and on every Chromium browser — Edge, Brave, Opera and Arc among them.
- Open the Thriftly listing on the Chrome Web Store.
- Click Add to Chrome, then confirm with Add extension.
Thriftly has no toolbar popup — its toolbar icon does nothing. The extension appears as a button on the Vinted page itself, which Open the Thriftly panel covers.
Sign in to Vinted
Do this first. Thriftly works inside the Vinted tab you are already signed in to, so the panel stays locked until a Vinted Session exists in that tab.
- Open one of the supported Vinted domains, for example
vinted.de. - Sign in to Vinted as you normally would.
If you skip this step, Thriftly shows the dialog Not logged in to Vinted with the message "Please log in to your Vinted account first to use Thriftly." Dismiss it with Got it, sign in to Vinted, and try again.
Open the Thriftly panel
On any supported Vinted page, Thriftly adds a floating button in the bottom-right corner.
- Click Open Thriftly.
- The first time, Thriftly shows the dialog Sign in to Thriftly with the message "You need to sign in to your Thriftly account to use the extension." Click Sign in.
- A new browser tab opens on the Thriftly Sign In page. Sign in with your email and password, or with one of the social providers.
- Go back to the Vinted tab and click Open Thriftly again.
The panel opens on the Wardrobe, which lists the Items in your Vinted wardrobe. Close the panel again with Close Thriftly.

On any other site the extension stays inactive and no button appears.
Your Vinted Session
Thriftly never asks for, captures, or stores your Vinted credentials. There is no Vinted password and no Vinted token in your Thriftly account.
Instead, Thriftly acts through the Vinted Session that already exists in the browser tab where you are signed in to Vinted. That session is tab-bound: it belongs to the tab, not to Thriftly. Sign out of Vinted, or close the tab, and Thriftly can no longer act on your behalf.
Your Thriftly Session is separate. It is the account you signed in to on thriftly.tools, and it is what the extension uses to talk to Thriftly.
