What Likeback is
Likeback is an optional exchange of Favorites between Thriftly sellers on the same Vinted domain. You Favorite other participants' Items from your connected Vinted seller identity, and your published Items become available to receive theirs.
It is free and takes no plan allowance. It is off until you switch it on, and one action switches it back off.
A Favorite is a real Vinted action taken by your real Vinted account. Everything below follows from that.
Joining
Likeback lives in the extension, under Settings → Likeback, and only on a Vinted page signed in as the seller this Workspace is connected to. There is no website control: consent has to be given where a live Vinted session can prove the identity.
Switching Join Likeback on opens a disclosure. Nothing reaches Thriftly until you press Join Likeback in that dialog — the switch is the first act, the named button is the second.
The dialog is the authority on what you agree to, and it is the version in front of you that counts. It covers eight things: who sees your Vinted identity, what lands in your own Vinted Favorites, that completed Favorites stay after you leave, that one already-started Favorite may still settle, the risk automated activity carries on Vinted, that Thriftly's exclusion reaches Thriftly's automations and nothing else, that execution is best effort, and that no ranking change and no Favorites in return are promised.
If it is ever broadened, your acceptance stops standing for it and the setting goes off until you accept the new one.
How the exchange runs
An open Vinted tab, signed in as the connected seller, is the only thing that ever calls Vinted. Thriftly's server never does.
That tab walks your Wardrobe now and then, offers the Items that are currently eligible, and takes at most one Likeback Favorite at a time. Each write is checked before and read back after, so a Favorite is recorded once and never repeated for the same seller and Item.
Matching is same-domain and cross-Account: you are never handed your own Item, and never one from another Workspace in your own Account. Likeback is kept balanced — a participant who has received far more than they have sent is served later than one who has not.
Close every Vinted tab and nothing happens. That is normal, and it is what "best effort" means here.
What Likeback never shows you
No roster. No participant count. No activity feed. No statistics or notifications. Who else participates is not yours to see, and yours is not theirs.
The one thing beside the switch is an operational word: Thriftly may pause Likeback activity for a domain or for a single connection on safety evidence. That is a pause, not an opt-out — your choice stays on, and work resumes when it is safe.
Likeback Favorites and Auto Offers
A Likeback Favorite never triggers an Auto Offer, an offer message, or any other Favorite-triggered Thriftly automation. Neither does an ordinary Favorite exchanged between two sellers who are both participating when Thriftly evaluates it.
Vinted's aggregate Favorite count is Vinted's. Thriftly shows it unchanged and cannot separate buyer interest from the rest of it.
Leaving
Switch Join Likeback off. There is no confirmation, because stopping an automation must never be harder than starting it.
New Favorites stop in both directions at once: your Items stop being offered, and you stop being handed anyone else's. A write that had already started may still settle — that is the one case where something lands after you leave.
Favorites already made stay on Vinted. Thriftly does not unfavorite them, because reversing another seller's engagement after the fact is a second action you did not ask for.
Your exchange totals survive leaving, so rejoining does not reset an unfavourable balance. Deleting the Workspace or its Vinted Connection deletes the participation record, and a later connection starts from a fresh opt-in.
